On September 16, 2023, we were honored to attend the annual meeting of the Taiwan Society for Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery and Radiosurgery (TSSFNR), where the Vercise Genus™ Deep Brain Stimulation System was officially launched in Taiwan.
This year’s TSSFNR annual meeting focused on stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), neuromodulation and artificial intelligence (AI). It brought together renowned physicians and professors from Taiwan and around the world, and also shared the latest medical advances with specialists worldwide through online video conferences.
The Vercise Genus™ Deep Brain Stimulation System from Boston Scientific drew considerable interest from the neurosurgeons attending. This was the first time Boston Scientific’s deep brain stimulation (DBS) system was introduced to the Taiwan market. With Genus directional leads, its MICC (Multiple Independent Current Control) system, and image-guided programming, we are poised to stand out in Taiwan’s market. In the early stages of the launch, Chi Yu is also actively building partnerships with leading teaching hospitals to provide patients with better treatment options.
